Today is a GOLD Day!

Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Oct. 20 – Fall Orchestra concert 6:30pm – Lg gym

Oct. 25 – Fall Band concert 6:30pm – Lg gym

Oct. 24 – 27 – Conference Week

Oct. 27 – 2 hour early dismissal

Oct. 28 – NO SCHOOL

The WMS Orchestra Masquerade Concert will be TONIGHT at 6:30pm in the Large Gym.  Students should report to the gym at 6:00pm.  Students may wear school appropriate costumes.  They must be able to play their instrument while wearing the costume.  If not wearing a costume, please dress up and look your best.  Students are required to stay for the entire concert.  See you there!

Picture retake day for Lifetouch fall pictures is November 3^rd.

Dance Till You Drop!!! Join us for a PARTY like no other… dancing, limbo, friends, fun and food for sale. Tickets are on sale now at the YMCA for just $4.00. There will be a DJ for dancing, an open gym, dodgeball and wallyball contest. We could use parent chaparones for this event. Please contact Amy Hessel if you would like to help out. This event is open to all 6^th – 8^th graders.

Instructional Time is very important to us at West. We don’t interrupt class time to deliver messages. Our last class of the day begins at 2:42 and ends at 3:21. Beginning October 3rd, messages must be received before 2:30 to assure they will be announced at2:42.

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to Mrs. Soy or Mrs. Stutzel, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

Stop by the main office to pick up information on the Muscatine Parks and Recreation’s Girls Basketball Clinic 2016. Deadline to register is October 24^th at 5:00pm.

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
