Jan. 19 – NO SCHOOL – Teacher Inservice

REPORT CARDS:
Parents, because of the canceled school days we will be sending the report card to the administrative center to be mailed on Monday, January 12 and you should receive them by Wednesday, January 14.
Attention 7th and 8th graders interested in swimming: There is a sign up sheet in the attendance office and there will be a parent meeting on Monday, January 26 at 5:00pm at the MHS pool. Practice will start February 3 at 6:15 am also at the MHS pool. See Mrs. Hartman in the attendance office for more information.
The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting a Winter Kickoff Event on Thursday, Jan. 15th from 4-6:30pm. Join the Y for a Triple Play Event with Dodgeball, Kinects Challenges and Cookie Decorating. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Please RSVP to Amy Hessel at the YMCA.
Stop by the main office for “2015 Summer Volleyball” registration forms. Deadline to register is May 1st.
Major Saver Discount Card
Major Saver Discount Card campaign launches in Muscatine on January 8th! Last year, participating students helped the Muscatine Community School Foundation and participating schools raise more than $32,800.
Elementary and Middle school students will be selling $15 cards with 19 Buy-One-Get-One Free offers starting Thursday, January 8th through Wednesday, January 21st. These exceptional offers include savings at the following establishments: Pearl City Chophouse, Muscatine Family Restaurant, Boonies, A Guy and A Grill, Tantra, The Brick House Café, Arby’s, Diamond Dave’s, Papa Murphy’s, McDonald’s, Blimpie, Happy Joe’s, Plamor Lanes, Taco John’s, Pizza Ranch, The Missipi Brewing CO., Guadalajara, Casey’s & Miracle Car Wash.
Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer.
Please consider purchasing a Major Saver card from a Muscatine elementary or middle school student. The proceeds from these sales will benefit the participating schools and the Muscatine Community School Foundation.
The orchestra program is selling Flower Cards again for $25. This gets you a beautiful bouquet of flowers each month in 2015 from the Flower Gallery. They make excellent gifts! Email or talk to Jessica if you would like to purchase one. For each card sold the orchestra program receives $15 so this is what keeps our program funded!
Stop by the main office for information on the Muscatine Parks and Rec. Baseball / Softball Fundamentals Clinic. Deadline to register is January 26 at 5:00pm. There is also info on Parks and Rec Gymnastics.
For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar. This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.
The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
