Congratulations to the girl’s 7th grade basketball teams on a SUPER year!  The team defeated Davenport Williams 49-11 and 38-11.  Great offense, defense and hustle by all.  Remember our pizza party Thursday in Mr. Rivera’s room #10 during homeroom thru after-school.  Will be done by 4:15 PM.  Bring your own drinks.

This Thursday, December 15th is the WMS Holiday Orchestra Concert at 6:30pm in the large gym.  Students must arrive at 6pm with their instrument and music.  Students must wear black on bottom and white/black/red/green on top.  Santa hats are encouraged!

Student Leadership is excited to begin selling t-shirts designed by Brooke Horton and chosen by WMS students.  T-shirt sales will begin Tuesday, November 29 before school in the cafeteria or students can bring money anytime to Mrs. Curtis room 16.  Money profited will be split evenly to assist field trips among all grade levels.  Thanks for your support!  Prices are as follows:

T-shirts: $12

Crew Sweatshirt: $20

The Muscatine Orchestra Boosters are once again selling Flower Cards through the Flower Gallery in Muscatine.  For $30, you will receive a card that entitles you to 1 bouquet of flowers from The Flower Gallery each month in 2017.  Yes, that means you are getting 12 bouquets for only $30!  Talk to any 7th & 8th grade orchestra student or Ms. Blanchard to get yours!  We will be selling them until we run out.

Instructional Time is very important to us at West. We don’t interrupt class time to deliver messages. Our last class of the day begins at 2:42 and ends at 3:21. Beginning October 3rd, messages must be received before 2:30 to assure they will be announced at2:42.

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to Mrs. Soy or Mrs. Stutzel, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
