Today is a GOLD Day!

Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Jan. 16 – NO SCHOOL – Teacher Inservice

We have been asked to announce that the Muscatine County Sherriff’s office will be enforcing the traffic rules and issuing tickets if necessary for violations. The goal for all of us is to keep our students safe.

Morning

1. Busses will drop students off at the back of the parking lot by the large gym.
2. Cars will drop students off in the front of the building. Cars will enter the current bus lane from the north (from Fulliam Ave past McKinley School). After dropping off students, drivers will proceed south on Kindler toward Newell Ave.
3. It will not be possible to turn left toward Fulliam between 7:30 and 7:45.
4. Those who must come from the south OR have students at McKinley are encouraged to drop all students off at McKinley. West students can cross Kindler using the light. Please do not drop students off and have them walk across the traffic.
5. Doors open at 7:50, students are allowed in the halls at 8:17 and the tardy bell rings at 8:25.

After School – No change to current procedures

1. Busses will pick students up in the front of the building.
2. Cars will pick students up from the large gym. Please park when you arrive to avoid traffic spilling onto Kindler.
   25. Students are dismissed at 3:21 to go their lockers. Dismissal is at 3:25.

For those who are interested in swimming, practice will begin Monday, January 30^th. Practice will be at the MHS pool, doors open at 6:00am and practice will begin promptly at 6:15am and will conclude at 7:15. Buses will bring you back to West at 8:00am. There will be a parent meeting at the MHS pool on Monday, January 23^rd at 5:30pm. Parents and swimmers are encouraged to attend.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
