Mar. 1 – WMS Spring Choir concert 6:30pm Lg. Gym

Mar. 3 – WMS Orchestra concert 6:30 Lg. Gym

Mar. 14 – Parent/Teacher conferences 4:15 – 7:30pm – teacher’s rooms

Mar. 15 – Parent/Teacher conferences 4:15 – 7:30pm – teacher’s rooms

Mar. 17 – 2 hour early dismissal

Mar. 17 – Parent/Teacher conferences 1:45 – 3:45pm – teacher’s rooms

Mar. 18 – NO SCHOOL – Conference Comp Day

Mar. 21-25 – SPRING BREAK

Congratulations to the “Math Counts” participants for their hard work on Friday, February 26. Our team made second place in the contest and Elizabeth Howard made 4th place in individual competition. Elizabeth will represent West Middle School at the state competition on April 1st. Stop by the main office to see our 2nd place trophy.

 

The West Middle School Choir Pops Concert will be held TONIGHT at the West Middle School Large Gym. The concert will start at 6:30 p.m. Students should arrive and be seated by 6:15 p.m. for warm upsStudents should dress up and look their best. Please No jeans or T-shirts. Jeans may be worn if they are the nicest available clothing choice. Show Choir students will be wearing their costumes during the regular portion of the choir concert. If you have any questions/concerns, please contact Mr. Tolle as soon as possible.

 

Thursday, March 3 is the WMS Orchestra concert at 6:30pm in the large gym.  7th & 8th grade students should report at 5:45pm, 6th graders report at 6:00pm.  Students should wear black on bottom and white on top.  See you there!

 

Attention 6th graders: It’s time to register for the Youth Sports Foundation Spring Co-Ed Track & Field! Registration begins Monday, March 7th thru Monday, March 21st. cost is $40.00 and includes your team t-shirt. Stop by the main office for more information.

 

ATTN: GOLF SCHLORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Tony Robison Memorial Golf Membership Scholarship is open to all students in grades 8-12. The main criteria is the desire to play golf: not based on grades or financial need. The award is a one year junior golf membership at Geneva Golf and Country Club. Athletic eligibility is not affected. Once awarded, if selected individuals do not use it, it will be re-awarded to another individual. Deadline to apply is March 31, 2016. Applications are available at West Middle School, Central Middle School, Muscatine High School Athletic Office.

 

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

 

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
