Hey everyone, next week is Muskie Homecoming! During Spirit week we will have a homecoming assembly on Wednesday during homeroom. We will have representatives from the homecoming court, and fall sports as well as some of the band members and cheerleaders.

Dress up days for Spirit Week are as follows:

Monday: Crazy Hair Day!

Tuesday: PJ Day – Adorn yourself in your most comfortable clothes.

Wednesday: When we grow up day – Dress like your future dream job!

Thursday: Red Carpet Day – bedazzle yourself in glitz and glamor.

Friday: Muskie Spirit Day!

Staff and students… Have you noticed the HUGE boxes in the front hallway??? We are collecting items for the “Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort”. Items needed:

• Cases of water
• Non – perishable food items: canned or boxed foods.
• Travel sized items: shampoo & conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap or body wash, any kind of toiletries.
• Items for pets: bags of food, collars, leashes, food dishes or toys.
• Baby food, diapers, wipes, formula.
• WalMart gift cards.

Students: Don’t forget to check out the virtual backpack for information on upcoming events, clubs, youth sports, art center events and other things outside of school. Lots of fun activities are available for students and adults of all ages.

The office has “Back to School” coupons for one free art class at the Muscatine Art Center. Stop by and check it out!

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to their homeroom teacher, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
