WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL                ANNOUNCEMENTS                     9/7/2017

Students: Don’t forget to check out the virtual backpack for information on upcoming events, clubs, youth sports, art center events and other things outside of school. Lots of fun activities are available for students and adults of all ages.

The office has “Back to School” coupons for one free art class at the Muscatine Art Center. Stop by and check it out!

The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting “Zombie Apocalypse-Nerf Wars” on Thursday, Sept. 7th 4:00-6:00pm. Zombies are taking over the Y! Help by joining in the fun as we take them out game by game. Bring your own nerf gun if you have one; we’ll supply the ammunition. No worries if you don’t come armed, we’ll make sure you can defend yourself. This event is Free and open to youth in 5th-8th grades. Please RSVP by the 6th so we have enough supplies and food! Contact Amy Hessel at the Y, 263.9996, for more information.

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to their homeroom teacher, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
