CMS Announcements – Friday, November 13, 2015 – White Day

Morning Announcements for students:

The sixth graders have already donated 142 cans of food.  The challenge is to collect over 600 cans and earn the three goal level prizes.  Make sure you bring your canned items to your 7th period teacher by November 23.

Congratulations to the 8th grade girls A team on its victory over Davenport Smart Intermediate School by the score of 20-8.  The girls played really good defense and held the opponent to very few shots.   Keep up the good work girls!!

The Central 7th grade girls travelled to Davenport Smart last night and came away with a very hard fought victory.  Davenport Smart got off to an early lead but the Chargers battled back with a very tenacious and scrappy effort.  The game went back and forth until late in the 4th quarter when the Central ladies made some big baskets to pull away for the well deserved win.  The girls played very unselfishly together and had great teamwork in achieving the victory.

Davenport Smart won the B game.  The Central girls played with great enthusiasm all night and the coaches were very proud of their effort.

As flu season approaches, it is very important for us to monitor students that are ill, so that we can take schoolwide precautions. If your child texts you to let you know that he or she is ill, please notify the main office and ask for our nurse. By doing this, we will be able to give your child appropriate medical care, as well as determine our school wide precautions. Thanks for your understanding and support!
