New Kindergarteners & Preschool Registration
Please click the link below to register your student for preschool & kindergarten with the Muscatine Community School District for the 2024-2025 school year. Students who attended 4yr preschool at MELC do not need to fill out a new student registration form. They will fill out a returning student registration form, which becomes available in July.

Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment is the process by which a parent or guardian residing in an Iowa district may enroll their child(ren) into another Iowa school district under the terms and conditions of Iowa Code 282.18 and Iowa Administrative Code 281-17.
Voluntary Transfers
Elementary school students are expected to attend their assigned school building based on their home address. The Voluntary Transfer Form is for parents who want their student to attend a different elementary school within the Muscatine Community School District.
