CMS Daily Announcements Thursday, February 4th- White Day

Morning Announcements for students:

 

The Muscatine Central and West Middle School’s will be presenting a joint production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.!   Join us “Under The Sea” at the Central Auditorium this coming Friday, February 5th or Saturday, February 6th at 7:00 pm.  Doors will open at 6:15 pm, and tickets are $5 – ages 5 and up.  If you would like to purchase tickets in advance, they are currently available from 7:30 to 4:00 in the main offices of both Central and West.

 

CMS Students – Central Middle School will be receiving our Blue Zone certification in March, and we are very excited to become a Blue Zone School!  We need your help in creating a Blue Zone logo and/or slogan that we can use at Central for all of our Blue Zone activities and programs.  All entries are due by Friday, February 19.  Please see your ELA teacher for additional information.

 

Library books on hold for Jonathan Taverna, Tyson Sample, Kiersten Askam, Hailey Schrier, & Justice Gatzke.  Everyone who needs a book Thursday should get to the library before 3:00 pm today.

 

Congratulations to Bosena Smith and Emmy Holthe for completing the 24 Book Challenge!

 

Attention Future Problem Solvers – Permission slips for Monday’s Writing Competition are due NOW!  Please turn your slips and skit supplies in as soon as possible.  Remember: No slip, No Trip.

 

If you are ordering a swim t-shirt or hooded sweatshirt, orders are due on Friday, February 12th. Turn orders into the attendance office.

 

8th Grade Boys Basketball – Please listen closely later on today for your 3:00 pm dismissal time to travel to Walcott for an action packed game against the Panthers!! Go Chargers!!

 

Students…7th Grade Boys Basketball is having a HOME game tonight starting at 4 pm. Please come out , and cheer on your Central Chargers basketball Team!! GO CHARGERS!!

 

Don’t forget to check the Lost and Found today! Plenty of winter hats, winter coats, winter mittens, and lunch boxes still on hand.

 

Remember… The Charger motto is to be ready, be respectful, and be responsible.  Make it a great day.

As flu season approaches, it is very important for us to monitor students that are ill, so that we can take schoolwide precautions. If your child texts you to let you know that he or she is ill, please notify the main office and ask for our nurse. By doing this, we will be able to give your child appropriate medical care, as well as determine our school

wide precautions. Thanks for your understanding and support!

All forms listed below need to be on file at school in order to participate in any athletic activity and practice, these are available in the attendance office or on the CMS website.

 

To be able to participate the student needs to have the following forms turned in~

CMS Athletic Form with a student and parent signature

An up to date physical *parent signature is needed on this form

Heads Up:Concussion Form with a student and parent signature
