Instructional Time is very important to us at West. We don’t interrupt class time to deliver messages. Our last class of the day begins at 2:42 and ends at 3:21. Beginning October 3rd, messages must be received before 2:30 to assure they will be announced at2:42.

STUDENTS: Mr. Keith, Ms. Matteson and Ms. Schneider will be holding “Homework Club every Monday through Thursday after school. This club is available to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders…

WHAT: Homework Club

WHERE: WMS Library

WHEN: Mon-Thurs 3:30pm – 4:45pm

WHY: To help students complete assignments, to further students’ understanding of standard skills, and to encourage the importance of positive relationships at school.

The club is open to all middle school students. There are a few other teachers as well as several students from the high school who have volunteered to help with this program. Students may come only when they need a little extra help or they can come everyday.

Students will also need a signed permission slip to stay for Homework Club.

Parents will need to arrange for transportation home on the days their student stays for the club.

The sixth grade teachers and students would appreciate if everyone could turn in any Box Tops they have been collecting at home: 6th graders can bring their Box Tops to Mrs. Soy or Mrs. Stutzel, and 7th and 8th graders can bring their Box Tops to the main office. Every Box Top counts!

Stop by the main office to pick up information on the Muscatine Parks and Recreation’s Girls Basketball Clinic 2016. Deadline to register is October 24th at 5:00pm.

For your convenience all athletic and activity events can now be found on the WMS calendar.  This one stop convenient calendar will make it easy for staff, students and parents to access dates and times for all activities. Just click on the “School Calendar” tab at the top right.

The Attendance Office has purple NIKE athletic bags for sale for $30.00. Stop by to take a look.
