Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! It has been a very fast and HOT summer and I am very excited to be beginning my second year as principal of Washington Elementary.
It’s going to be a great year! We will be embarking on our first full year of implementation of The Leader in Me. We are planning on having the students, staff, and families become even more familiar with, and really start living Dr. Steven Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. We are re-working our mission/vision at Washington to align with this very important goal of increasing everyone at Washington’s leadership capacity.
Please take the time to become involved and find out how you can make a difference at our school. As partners in your child’s education, we encourage communication between home and school. Agendas are expected to be signed and returned daily.
Please note the schedule change for this year. The regular school day is 8:10 to 3:00. The office hours will remain 7:30 to 4:00. Our secretary, Jan Drumm, and I can be reached at 263-9135. Feel free to contact us at any time with a concern about your child.
