Franklin Elementary is the home of the district’s Dual Language Immersion Program! This includes bilingual Kindergarten new for the 2022-2023 school year. First grade will be added for the 2023-2024 school year.

Dear Franklin Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Corry Spies, and I am excited to be the new principal at Franklin Elementary. This year marks my 10th year as a principal in the Muscatine Community School District. After serving at the middle school level for the past two years, I am excited to be able to return to the elementary level and serve the students and families of Franklin.
I look forward to getting to know you and your student!
Although 2020 has been a year full of challenges that schools have not faced before, the Franklin staff has been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming school year. Whether your family has selected in-person learning or virtual learning for the start of this year, we are ready to work together to address the challenges that lie ahead.
Please see this letter with information to help parents/guardians know what to expect as we return to learning at Franklin. Please read through carefully, and refer to our District’s Return to Learn FAQ to help you understand how we will safely operate during these extraordinary times.

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2020-2021! Mi nombre es Corry Spies y estoy emocionado de ser el nuevo director de la Primaria Franklin. Este año marca mi décimo año como director en el Distrito Escolar de la Comunidad de Muscatine. Después de servir a nivel de escuela intermedia durante los últimos 2 años, estoy emocionado de poder regresar al nivel de primaria y servir a los estudiantes y las familias de Franklin. ¡Espero conocerlos a usted y a su estudiante!
