The 8th grade girls’ basketball team played its last games yesterday here at CMS.  Unfortunately for the A team, the outcome was a frustrating result.  The Davenport Williams’ team played really well and made lots of baskets in beating the Chargers, 40-17.  It seemed as though that many of  the shots that the CMS girls attempted rolled off the rim.  The 8th grade girls were led by Haley Jarrett scoring 2 points, Vada Fridley adding 5 points, and Macey Rogers leading CMS with 10 points.  In the B game, the Chargers played Williams very closely all the way to the very end.  With ten seconds left, Lily Vela scored the game winning shot to seal the victory for Central, 13-11.  Leading the Chargers in the victory were Grace Kpor with 2 points, Lily Vela had 5 points, and Callie Kellett led the Chargers with 6 points.  Ladies —  Mrs. Moeller and Mr. Bartell thank you all for your great efforts, support, and fun this entire season.  Best wishes on your future success!!

There will be no band lessons with Mrs. Preslin today.
