Bald Eagle Watch – Free!

Name:  Muscatine Bald Eagle Watch, FREE to everyone!

Grade Level: PK-12

Description:

When:  January 27th, 2018 from 9 am to 2 pm.

Where:  Muscatine’s Pearl City Station, red brick building on the riverfront and the Lock and Dam #16 observation deck.

Why:  To raise awareness about our National Symbol and educate the public on the Bald Eagle and other conservation success stories!

Activities Include:

  1. Live Birds of Prey Programs at 9:30 am and 11 am at the Pearl City Station.  See owls, hawks, and a Bald Eagle up close!  Bring your camera!  These programs are being presented by the Wildlife Prairie Park from Hanna City, IL.
  2. Conservation organizations/booths at the Pearl City Station.
  3. Craft Table for the kids.
  4. Free hot chocolate and coffee.
  5. Bald Eagle Viewing thru spotting scopes at the Pearl City Station and the Lock and Dam #16.  Volunteers and staff will be assisting those wanting to get a closer look at the Bald Eagle in the wild!
