There will be jazz band rehearsal Thursday morning of this week at 7:30.

Book fair is in the library this week!  Cash and checks made out to Central Middle School will be accepted.  Stop by and get some great books like Miss Peregrine, Assassins Creed, and the new Wimpy Kid book.  All sales benefit our school

7th grade book club Secret Santa meeting Wed, Dec 7 at lunch.  Don’t forget to bring your treats.

Tryouts for this year’s talent show started this morning Tuesday, December 6th before school and will continue tonight after school and tomorrow Wednesday, December 7th after school.  All tryouts will be held in the Little Auditorium.  You must have your music with you on a flashdrive.  All music must be instrumental (meaning there is no singing with the music).  Songs should be between 3-4 minutes.  There is no lip syncing.  Also, if a song has already been chosen, you must pick a different song.  Sign up for tryouts are posted outside of the counselor’s office.

Shout out to the 8th grade girl’s basketball players who lost a hard fought battle against Clinton last night.  The Chargers and River Queens went back and forth all game long, but lost on a last minute basket by the River Queens.  The final score was 19 to 21.  Elise Finn led the Chargers with 8 points.  Madi Peterson and Olivia Harmon had 4 points each and Aricka Ramser and Kaylynn Salyars also contributed with points.  The B team had a great victory over Clinton.  The final score was 10-7.  Maddie Rice led the Chargers with 6 points, Veyda Matos and Jaeliz Cruz also had points.  Both teams did a great job!

7th and 8th graders interested in going out for boys basketball or swimming can sign up in the attendance office. Practices begin after winter break.

Check out the Lost & Found Coat Rack in the 2nd floor hallway! Your coat or sweatshirt might be there! The weather is getting colder. You’re going to need that sweatshirt soon. Only a few weeks left before ALL Lost and Found coats go to our Muscatine Charities.

The Muscatine Orchestra Boosters are once again selling Flower Cards through the Flower Gallery in Muscatine.  For $30, you will receive a card that entitles you to 1 bouquet of flowers from The Flower Gallery each month in 2017.  Yes, that means you are getting 12 bouquets for only $30!  Talk to any 7th & 8th grade orchestra student or Ms. Blanchard to get yours!  We will be selling them until we run out.
