The 7th grade CMS girls travelled to Walcott last night and came away with a hard fought win.  It was their fourth win in a row before heading into the Thanksgiving break.  The girls held a four point lead at the half and pulled away with a strong team effort in the second half.

Brea Seaman played an outstanding all around game.  Her defensive effort on the other teams leading scorer was one of the keys to victory for Central.  Meadow Freers and Maya Jensen along with Brea Seaman led the Chargers in scoring.  Emma Yerington, Indiana Stephens,  Abigal Yerington, Abigal Stamler, Ally Franke, and Cecelia Freers made strong contributions with their scoring, rebounding and solid defense.

In the reserve game Mykenah Potoff electrified the crowd and brought the entire gym to their feet with a long two point shot at the buzzer to tie the game.   Abigal Stamler also hit a big shot to tie the game with under a minute to go before Walcott took a two point lead before Mykenah’s heroic shot.  Other scorers in the game were Indy Stephens and Keira Jo Kruezenstein.

Way to go girls!  Thanks for all the thrills and hard work.
