Spring MHS Parent / Teacher Walk-in Conferences
March 6 – 4:00 – 7:15 pm
March 8 – 4:00 – 7:15 pm
March 9 – 1:45 – 3:45 pm (2-Hour Early Dismissal)

  • Boys’ Track Parent Meeting – There will be a parent meeting for boy’s track at 6:00 PM in the Cafeteria on Thursday, March 2. If you have questions, please contact Coach Rusch at mark.rusch@mcsdonline.org
  • Key Club – the next Key Club meeting is THIS Friday at 7:30 am in the Auditorium. See you there!
  • FCA – We will meet on Wednesday over the lunch hour in the multipurpose room upstairs (room 228). There will be pizza!
  • Girls’ Basketball – Our banquet will be held Thursday, March 2 at 6:00pm in the Commons.  All players and parents are welcome to attend!
  • Model UN – Meeting on Thursday at 12:25 pm in Ms. Hansen’s room (11-024). Students planning to attend the UNI conference in April should attend. Committee topics will be assigned at the meeting.
  • Seniors – Senior Scholarship Packets are due March 3 by 4:00 pm to Student Services.
  • #ReviewsDayTuesday Florence Nightingale – The Courageous Life of the Legendary Nurse by Catherine Reef – Most people know Florence Nightingale was a compassionate and legendary nurse, but they don’t know her full story. This riveting biography explores the exceptional life of a woman who defied the stifling conventions of Victorian society to pursue what was considered an undesirable vocation. She is best known for her work during the Crimean War, when she vastly improved gruesome and deadly conditions and made nightly rounds to visit patients, becoming known around the world as the Lady with the Lamp. Checkout (or hold) a copy with the library staff!
  • Muskie Supporters – CAPE (Carnival After Prom Extravaganza) – It’s not too late to VOLUNTEER or DONATE to CAPE – April 23, 2017 2017 CAPE VOLUNTEERS / DONATIONS
    CAPE is a free, safe & fun after prom event for juniors and seniors.

  • Western Illinois University has a Discover Western Quad Cities event coming up on Saturday, March 4 at 9 a.m. and you and your family are invited! The day will include: An academic fair to explore the Majors offered, Admission presentation, Speak to advisors, faculty and current students in the different programs, Tour of our state-of-the-art campus.   • Boys’ Tennis – There will be a boys tennis meeting on Thursday, March 2 at 3:35 pm in Room 21-030. The meeting will last 20 minutes. If you cannot make the meeting, please stop in Room 21-030 and talk to Coach Goedken.

  • Girls’ Soccer Meeting – There will be a pre-season meeting for all girls who plan to come out for soccer on Sunday, March 5th in the Commons.
  • Muscatine Soccer Club – World Cup Spring 2017 World Cup Soccer Info/Application
  • The Muscatine High School Baseball program now has an online store available for you to purchase all of your Muskie Baseball apparel. The store has apparel for men, women, and youth.   • Attention Seniors – If you missed the senior scholarship meeting please stop in Student Services to pick up the packet. The Final deadline for these scholarships is Friday, March 3rd at 4:00 pm.
  • Muskie Bands still have Koeze nuts and chocolate items available!  Get yours before the product is all gone!  To purchase please call 563 299 6045 or see any band student.

** Silver Cord Opportunities **

  • Madison Elementary – Read with Someone You Love – Friday, March 3rd from 2-3 pm. We are looking for volunteers to read with students during the Read with Someone you Love event.  If interested, please contact Stacy Emrich at stacy.emrich@mcsdonline.org
    McKinley Carnival
    – We need students to help run the school carnival games at McKinley School on Saturday, April 1st from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We would need students to check in at the front office at 10:45 am. Please contact Joelle McConnaha by text at 563-260-7122 OR email at
