Go Muskies!

• Baseball Players: Application forms to be a Captain are due to Coach Charles (RM AA 32) this Wednesday, Jan. 28th.
• Boy’s Track and Field – There will be a brief informational meeting for all boys interested in going out for track and field. We will meet in the high school cafeteria TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 27th at 3:30PM. This meeting will be very brief so please come get valuable info before your winter sports practice. If you have questions please see Coach Foxen.
• 2-Hour Early Out on Wednesday, January 28.  Students will be dismissed at 1:24 pm.
• Muscatine High School will hold a National Letter of Intent Ceremony in the Auditorium from 3:30-4:00PM on Wednesday, Feb 4th.  Any student signing a National Letter of Intent to be a student athlete for a Division 1 or Division 2 school for Football or Soccer (Mens and Womens) should contact Mr. Werling by Jan. 30th. The ceremony is open to anyone including family, friends, and media to attend.Remaining signing dates : 4/15 for All Sports (excluding Basketball, Football, and Soccer for the regular period).If you have questions, please see http://www.nationalletter.org/
• Here’s your chance to support Muscatine’s Varsity Show Choir, RCR, by purchasing a T-Shirt, Baseball Tee, Crew Neck or Hooded Sweatshirt. The order form is attached as well as a proof of the design. • Girls’ Soccer: If you have uniforms from last season, please return them to Ms. Hansen in Rm 133. Seniors, please send an email (rachel.hansen@mcsdonline.org) if you are keeping them for senior pictures.
• The 2014-2015 yearbook is still for sale.  If you did not purchase one yet, you can still buy one through the Attendance Office for $56 up until the end of March.  If you do not pre-order a book, we cannot guarantee you will get one.  Last year we ran out of the extra copies within a week.  ​Don’t miss out on all the memories of the year!
• The Muscatine Community YMCA is looking for volunteer refs for the Girls Youth Basketball Games on Saturday mornings each week through Feb. 21^st.  It is a great way to get volunteer hours for Silver Cord, Scouts or your college applications. Please contact Seth Hood at the YMCA, 263-9996 if you are interested.
• MHS 2015 Cake Auction, Friday, February 13. The attached link provides all the information!

• Girls Track and Field will start on Tuesday, February 17th at 3:45 pm in the Commons. Make sure that you have your physical and concussion form completed and turned in to the Athletics Office before that time. If you have any questions, please stop by room AA18 and talk to Coach Falk or email him at josh.falk@mcsdonline.org.
• Silver Cord Opportunity – Madison Elementary school is in need of volunteers for their  Winter Carnival on February 20 from approximately 5:00-8:00 pm. If you have any questions please email Mrs. Poppe at jillian.poppe@mcsdonline.org
• Silver Cord Opportunity –  Attention high school students.  We need your help in making a difference.  Earn Silver Cord hours by listening to first graders read at Mulberry Elementary School.  Volunteers are needed from 8:30 – 10 am and 10:30 – 11:15 am.  If you can’t stay the entire time, that’s ok.  Volunteer once a week or come everyday, whatever works with your schedule.  For more information, email Mrs. Welsch at lyndsay.welsch@mcsdonline.org
