  • Nov. 16! MHS Parents: There will be a Carnival After Prom Extravaganza (CAPE) meeting on Tuesday,
    November 16th from 5-6 pm in the MHS Commons. CAPE is the after-prom party for Juniors and Seniors that is put on by parents to provide a fun and safe place for students.  Parents of ALL high schoolers are invited to get involved.  This will be the first meeting to begin preparations for CAPE 2022.  If you would like to be involved and can’t attend the meeting (or don’t like to attend meetings), please email Karen at kbrookhart@taxrelief.org for updates or how to get involved.

  • Sign up by Nov. 17! Juniors & Seniors: “Apprenticeships 101” and Technical Careers at Alliant Energy will be held online on Nov. 17 from 10-11AM.  “Introduction to Energy Basics” will be discussed. This program also includes paid summer 2022 internships for high school juniors/seniors.   • Due Nov. 17! Youth Action Squad (YAS) is a group of youth ages 14 to 24 with an interest in advocacy. Youth Action Squad members learn leadership skills, conduct research, and create an action plan to address issues in their community or statewide. The YAS will meet weekly through virtual and in-person meetings.   • Deadline Nov. 19! Support your MHS athlete in their chosen sport by placing an ad in the MHS Sport program. Details and order form are at: https://bit.ly/2EDytT3
  • Athletic Punch Pass/Card for adults are $40 and can be purchased at the MHS Attendance Center or at the gate during events. This Punch Card allows you 10 admissions into all sporting events except regional & state competitions, most vocal, orchestra, and band events, and the fall drama production.
  • Juniors & Seniors: The MCC schedule for the Spring Semester is now available and has been updated to include appointments in December. Please use the Calendly link below to schedule a time to meet with Mrs. Hawkins. Spring 2022 MCC Registration Appointments
  • Auditions for MHS Drama’s Spring Musical, NEWSIES, will be held November 30 and December 1.  Prepare materials and reserve an audition time by following the directions in the packet: NEWSIES Audition Packet

  • Senior Portrait & Baby Ads for Grads Submission 2021-22: Sr. Portrait & Baby Ad Info
    • Senior Portrait: Due Friday, December 3rd, 2021
      (No cost → one submission per senior)

      $35 per ad → can have multiple submissions per senior
  • Senior Football T-shirts are available to purchase in the Student Services. The cost is $12 regardless of the size (Small through 4XL). Football T-shirt – Front    Football T-shirt – Back
  • Lost & Found: Lost an item?  Water Bottle, jewelry, earbuds, phone?  Check at the Attendance Center and see if it was turned in!
  • Google Classroom: All high school staff use Google Classroom to display assigned work. If your child is missing from school, they can always access their work via Google Classroom. As a parent/guardian, you can request your student’s teachers to add you to their assignment list so that you will have “View Only” access. 
  • Meal Viewer Link Students & Parents can look at the menus online for MHS. There is nutrient information as well as allergen information. There is also an app available for cell phones. 
  • MHS Parents & Students: The Powerschool Mobile App is a great resource to have!   Mobile App Instructions

** Athletics/Activities Information  **

  • Athletic Punch Pass/Card for adults are $40 and can be purchased at the MHS Attendance Center or at the gate during events. ** College Visits **

  • Northwest Iowa Community College will be visiting Tuesday, November 16th at 8:30am in the Student Services Office. If you would like to attend please email or stop in Student Services to let Mrs. Meineke or Mrs. Meeker know.
  • The Army Reserves will be here Thursday, November 18th during lunch in the Gym Foyer if you are interested or have any questions.

  • Lutheran Living Senior Campus is Hiring Culinary Aids: Must be 16 years old, flexible hours- usually 4-7  weekdays and weekends (not sure of the times) sign-on bonus and generous attendance bonus.  Starts at around  $12.00/hour, the attendance bonus is $3.00/hour for being on time and not calling off to work.  Contact Angie Silva at 563-272-2115 if interested.

** Forms **

  • School Locker Request (not PE): Student Locker Request Form
  • Transcripts: To request an official transcript from Muscatine High School, please use the link below to make your request. Official transcripts are sent directly from our MHS Registrar’s Office. Muscatine High School Transcript Request Link
  • Silver Cord Form:  Students recording hours of volunteer service during their years at MHS will be awarded a Silver Cord to wear at graduation. In order for volunteer hours to count towards a Silver Cord, STUDENTS must complete the online form to verify. Silver Cord Form
  • ALL STUDENTS DRIVING TO SCHOOL: ALL students driving to school will need to complete a Vehicle Registration Form for a new MHS Parking Tag.  This parking tag will be used for until the Class of 2025 graduates.  The form is available online Vehicle Registration Form, MHS Attendance or Student Services office. Completed forms should be returned to the Student Services office. Students with a new MHS Parking can park in the Bonnie Dr. or Cedar St. parking lots.
  • DOT Minor School License Form: DOT Minor School License Form Forms are available in the MHS Main Office – Rm-11-001. (You must have completed Driver’s Ed in order to submit this form.)  Instructions: Please complete Sections 1 and 3. (Leave Section 2 blank) and return to the Main Office. 

** Fundraisers **

  • Muskie Bands’ Annual Koeze Nut Fundraiser is currently offering delicious gourmet nuts and fine chocolates through December 11th. Contact a band student today to get those gift lists filled with cashews, mixed nuts, puddles, chocolate covered almonds, malted milk balls, and more! Or stop in at the Muskie Nut Headquarters (123 W 2nd) on Saturday mornings from 10 am to Noon or Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 pm and our students and band booster volunteers will get you set up!   • Muskie Store is Open! The district has partnered with Phelps Custom Apparel to offer our staff, families, and community Muskie Apparel! This online store does not close meaning that it remains open for all of your Muskie clothing needs throughout the year.

    Service qualifies for Silver Cord recognition if:

    • The student is not paid for the service
    • The student does not receive credit for the service.
    • The service is not for the purpose of fundraising for a group/activity/team that the student participates in.
      *140 hours are required for students in the Class of 2021, 2022 and 2023.
      *160 hours are required for students graduating in the Class of 2024.

  • Yearbooks: If you would like to purchase an MHS 2020-21 yearbook, cost is $56.
  • Did you or someone you know attend Muscatine High School during the 2012 through 2015 school years? If so, this is your chance to purchase a yearbook that reflects those school years and memories! Each yearbook is $20 until sold out. All proceeds go back into the Yearbook Club to purchase new equipment and expand the program for students. To purchase, call the Activities Office at Muscatine High School at (563) 263-6141 and ask for Mindy.
