Fall Bash Dance: Are you ready to glow? The Fall Bash Dance will be on Saturday, October 21st from 9-11 pm in the MHS Cafeteria. Entrance is $5 at the door. Bedeck yourselves in white and neon colors for this blacklight extravaganza! Glow sticks, necklaces, and bracelets will be sold on sight, as well. Invite all your peers to come out for a night of fun and fellowship!

- Canball Sign-up: Canball Sign-up forms can be picked up at the Attendance Center. The event will take place on Nov. 2 beginning at 4 pm in the MHS Gym and is open to the public. Player entrance fee is $3 or 5 canned goods. Sign-up forms are due Oct. 31 by 3:30 pm to Mrs. Walsh in rm 12-008 in the Science Wing. (Canball is volleyball for guys. A team consists of 6 male players and can have 2 alternates and a captain.)
- MHS Band Spooktacular Concert will be on Tuesday, October 17th @ 7-8 pm in the MHS Auditorium. Admission will be charged. Passes will be accepted.
- Seniors: Jostens reps will be taking Graduation item orders/payments on Oct. 17th during the lunch hour in front of Student Services. If you did not receive an ordering packet, please stop in Student Services to pick one up.
- Muskies School Store: Do you need Muskie Spirit Wear/Accessories or to give as a gift? Visit SCHOOLSTORE.JOSTENS.COM and search for your school or use school number: dn138 If you would like a $10 gift card (expires 11-24-17) toward a purchase, please see Mrs. Borde in the principal’s office – room 11-001.

- MHS Choir Concert will be on Monday, October 16th at 7 pm in the MHS Auditorium. MCSD staff and a guest are free with staff I.D., and we accept student activity passes. Adults are $4 and school-aged children are $3. One Family (Parents and All Children) will be admitted for no more than $10.
- Seniors: Due to our overwhelming response for support, we have extended our offerings for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Completion appointments on Tuesday, October 17th. If senior families would like to schedule an appointment for help with FAFSA, please call MHS Student Services at 263-6141 ext. 1120 or email kris.meeker@mcsdonline.org or lori.hubbard@mcsdonline.org.

- The All Kinds of People Club (AKOP) will meet every Tuesday and Thursday in the Library from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. If you have any questions see Noah McGowan, Felix Schmidt, or Ben Johns.
- Seniors – Police Mentoring: Stop down and sign up for Police Mentoring in room 11-003 with Officer Conard. It will be a first come first serve basis. All requests that have already been made will be honored.

Take the Plunge for a chance to receive a $500 college scholarship. For every 25 students* (high school or college) that register and raise the minimum $75 each, a $500 scholarship will be awarded. (Each student that raises the $75 minimum will be placed in the drawing for the $500 scholarship. *One $500 scholarship awarded per student/faculty.)

- JUNIORS – Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award: Up to $6,500 to be used for furthering your education will be awarded. Juniors will need to submit a project proposal and two letters of recommendation. - MCSD Food Service is looking for students who would be willing to volunteer at various elementary buildings to get the students through the breakfast line. Times would be 7:40-8:05 daily. Please email Alisha Eggers at alisha.eggers@mcsdonline.org if you are interested in volunteering.
- Muscatine Branching Out is looking for volunteers to help deliver pre-purchased trees on the corner of 4th and Mulberry on October 14th from 8:45 am – 12:00 pm. If interested, please contact Jeanne Johnson at jajohnso52@yahoo.com
