The Muskies FTC Robotics team (#4160) won the FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Innovation Award this past Saturday. The Innovation Award is given to the team with the most innovative robot design. The judges pick the design they feel is the most creative solution to the game challenge. The winning robot exemplifies an original design solution to the engineering design problem.

The Muskies competed in the finals (final 4 teams) out of 33 teams at the QC Regional championship this past Saturday. They are 1 of only 6 teams from eastern Iowa that qualified for the state championship in Iowa City on March 7th. This is the first time that the Muskies have won the innovation award.
