Upcoming events and dates to remember:

Apr. 29 – 2 hour early dismissal

Over the weekend there was a house fire here in Muscatine where the family lost everything.  Brian Mathis and Trina Hepker will be collecting anything that you would be willing to donate to the family.  We would accept anything from toiletries, to clothing, to cleaning supplies, to food, to a monetary donation. There are 4 family members: Amy (adult), Greg (adult), Dakota (senior), and Jake (freshman). If you have any questions or need more information you can email Trina Hepker at: trinahepker@gmail.com

Stop by the main office for info on the 2015 Muskie Football Camp. Camp dates are August 4, 5, 6 2015. Cost is $35.00 for grades 5^th – 8^th.

The Muscatine Community YMCA will be hosting the last Middle School Dance of the School Year Sat., April 25^th 7:30-10:30pm.  Tickets are just $4 and are on sale now at the Y. Don’t wait till the night of the dance, they may be sold out and the cost goes up to $5. There will be a DJ, open gym, dodgeball, wallyball and contest throughout the night. Chaperones are always needed, contact Amy Hessel at the Y to chaperone or for more information.

Jamie Young, an assistant coach for the 17 time NBA Champion Boston Celtics, will host his 2^nd annual Youth Basketball Academy to support the Erika Kate Hope Alliance.

Registration is now available so stop by the main office for more information.

Any 8th grade girl interested in playing high school softball can attend open field practices on Wednesdays at Kent Stein park from 5-6:30 on diamond 11. Please contact Coach Golien or Coach Davis with any questions.

Muscatine High School Student Council is excited to announce that it is holding its first ever Middle School Semi-Formal Dance on Friday, May 8 at Muscatine High School from 7-9pm. It is open to 6th-8th graders. It will cost $5 at the door.

We are also in need of chaperones! It would be from 6:50-9:10pm. If you are interested or have any questions please email Macy Morrow at morrowmt@mcsdoline.org.

Thursday, April 23rd 7th grade students A-L will be attending the University of Iowa for a field trip. Then on Friday, April 24th the 7th graders M-Z will attend. The bus will leave around 8:30 and return by 2:30.

Come join Susan Orvis & the MHS girls Basketball staff & team for the 2015 “Girls Basketball Fundamentals Camp”. This camp is designed for young players, (those entering grades 4 – 8; age groups divided) and will teach the fundamentals and team concept through competitive play and contests. We expect a lot teaching, learning and FUN! A purple and white basketball will be provided to each camper. Cost of the camp is $50.00. Stop by the main office for a registration form.

MUSCATINE MUSKIE FALL 2015 CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS

Tryouts are Sunday, April 26th, in the afternoon, in the high school gym. There will be tryout practices on April 20th, 23rd, and 24th.
